Guide for Taking on Winter

In winter, watching the weather becomes routine, yet unpredictability remains inevitable. Transitioning from sedentary to exertion requires exceptional willpower, quality gear, and excessive preparation. Layer up, fill your pockets and know nature's unpredictability cannot stop you. Here are three set-ups to make sure you're warm and pedaling.

Key Pieces: Long Sleeve Base Layer, Deep Winter Jacket, Thermal Tights, Neck Warmers, Gloves, & Toe Covers

In extreme weather, the art of layering becomes more important than ever. This set-up starts with a solid Polartec® Base Layer and adds on our Deep Winter Jacket: a multi-layered piece with a fleece interior and water repelling exterior. To keep cozy on the bottom half, our fleece-lined Thermal Tights have got you covered. Finishing details can make or break how much you enjoy the ride, which is why we've developed a full range of winter accessories: Merino Winter Socks, Toe Covers, Gloves, and a Polartec® Neck Warmer.

MILD WINTER SET-UP: 5-15°C with frigid mornings/warm afternoons and potential moisture

Key Pieces: Sleeveless Base Layer, Long Sleeve Jersey, Insulated Gilet, Thermal Tights, & Merino Socks

On nice winter days, heavy layers lose importance and versatility comes into play. Sticking to a foolproof foundation, Thermal Tights and Merino Socks, we incorporate a lighter Sleeveless Polartec® Base Layer and our signature Long Sleeve Jersey: a super comfortable, breathable jersey ready for a diversity of riding situations. The final outer layer comes in the form of a PrimaLoft® Insulated Gilet that retains heat even when wet, yet isn't overwhelming thanks to it's mesh side panels and two-way YKK VISLON® zipper.

RAINY DAYS: 0-15°C with a high chance of rain/sleet/slush

If you're one of the brave folks who ventures out on rainy days, you can depend on our Rain Jacket and Rain Gilet for moisture protection. Let the day's temperature guide your internal layers and add an outer rain layer depending on how wet it looks through the window. If you've got a dry start, simply fill up a back pocket with our stowable Rain Jacket or Gilet.
